I'm a Zelda fan, what can I say?

I was gonna write a deep, meaningful, personal blog post about my state of mind, my feelings, true love, miracles... all that kinda stuff.

But who cares, right? The most important thing is...

VIDEO GAMES!

I've been replaying Zelda: Wind Waker for the past week or so, simply as something to do whenever I'm not at Mr. Karria's house. In fact, when I told him I was playing it again, he said "Ew. Why bother?"

Why indeed?

The very first video game I EVER played was Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I fell in love with it. I even kinda sorta like it's not-as-hot-sister Majora's Mask. Wind Waker was one of the only reasons I got a Gamecube in the first place. I understand why so many people dislike it. The graphics are pretty cartoonish. But really, is that it the only reason?

I may be the minority when I say this, but I love WW's graphics. They're colorful and fun. In fact, I hate quite a few of the 'newer' games since they all seem to be shaded in Brown and Gray. And Muzzle Flash. It's still a Zelda game at it's core. The dungeons are still intense and require thought if you're like me and don't leap to walkthroughs the minute you start a game (and bonus: no Water Dungeon), the pure amount of subquests keep the game fun for a long period of time, and... well, this is kinda tiny, but the music is nice. There are times where I'll simply let the game run paused somewhere as I do something else for background noise. I did the same thing in OoT, and to a lesser extent, Twilight Princess when it came out.

To make a long story short: I love the Zelda storyline. And, as a fan of Zelda, I still love Wind Waker, even with it's silly cel-shaded graphics. And no one can convince me otherwise.

They could have left out Tingle though.
